Second Year of the Lincoln Clay Tour
Shifting gears yet again. We finished with the Sky Dancers installation in November of last year, and there have been some additional maintenance tasks that will need to be done there, but that's another story. My next focus is on work for the Lincoln Clay Tour coming up April 29-30 followed by an online sale on May 1. This year, we are aligning with the UNL Clay Club as the fourth stop on the Tour, which will add even more variety. Speaking of variety, I'll be showing at a location on 44th & Cornhusker with porcelain & concrete sculptor TJ Edwards and sculptor Nathan Murray
I will admit to feeling a bit like a florist at a rocket scientist convention here. TJ's sculpture is elegant, subtle. Nathan's is powerful, visceral. Both produce work that I am honored to share space with and I'm looking forward to getting to know them both better during this process. But I keep reminding myself of the impact that simple beauty, joyful bursts of color can have. There is a place for all forms of expression. There is endless choice as well.
